If At First You Don't Succeed, Or 100 Times.........

       Who are they and what do they have in common? They are all ladies that I spotted on OKCupid.com and contacted, either with a Wink(short message) or a full fledged message. Most of them ignored me completely, a few said thanks for the complement and nothing else, several told me that I was not their type. One said she hated Italians(gee, thanks), a few that I already knew personally thought it would be too weird to date me. I guess they couldn't see me in a different light. There was one, VeganJet,  that seemed interested, but after several phone conversations, and my purchase of vegan chocolate for Valentine's Day, she decided to back out. 
     After about six months of this insanity, I was totally ready to give up. I had stopped looking on that site by May 28th, when something very shocking occurred, someone contacted me. She sent me a message, saying that she found me interesting and she wanted to meet me. After several messages back and forth, we had our first date and it went incredibly well. Her name is Katie, and she just might be the best thing that's ever happened to me! :) We found that we have a lot in common and we appreciate each other's strengths very well. We also inspire each other, which is a wonderful thing! I'm also very excited about the future. All of those rejections were worth the trouble, to finally find myself being accepted...It feels weird to be this happy...........
