I know it's been a few weeks since I last posted. I hope you weren't holding your breath, waiting for the next words of wisdom. Those of you who are friends with me on Facebook know that I usually post my nonsense every day on there. I just get into ruts with this blog, where I have trouble coming up with posts that interest me, nevermind what my wonderful blog followers find worthwhile. I do have a few new developments worth mentioning.
I am moving on Monday. From a shared situation in Stuy Town to a studio apartment around the corner from where I grew up. I feel the need to have a place that I can call my own. You never know, I may get lucky and meet a special lady. Now, I'll have a place to bring them.....
The day after the move, I'll be taking the prelim-medical exam for the Court Officer job. I am going nutso trying to lose the couple of lbs. I need to get below the limit of 185 for my height. I don't want my hiring to be delayed by not meeting the requirements.
The DJ gigs at O'Hanlon's are going very well so far. It's nice to have a solid crowd of people there every Friday and Saturday night. I hope Sunday improves with karaoke. You all know how much I enjoy singing in front of people. I get pumped up to do it, every week, no matter how silly some people think it is.
OK Cupid is now the site that I spend the most time using. I never thought I would find something to use more than Facebook, but I have this crazy idea that some wonderful, beautiful lady could consider dating me. I did find one lady that I ended up meeting, but we both sense that it's not a great fit and I guess I will keep looking. I know that I'm not ugly, but I'm also not rich and that is a problem, no matter how much you ladies out there deny it. Like the Joe Jackson song, there's pretty women out walking with gorillas down my street. I'll bet those gorillas have a few bucks. I can be the nicest, sweetest guy in the universe, but if I'm barely getting by, I am simply not appealing enough. That's just the truth. The women that I'm the most attracted to are not in my league right now. That may change in the future, but the clock is ticking. I may look 30-35 right now, but my hair is graying and time is a factor.
I'm excited with the Knicks for obvious reasons, they are finally building a team worth watching, hooray!
